The Carrboro Police Department arrested and charged people related to a vehicle break-in witnessed during the early-morning hours of Monday. A release from the department said at 4:42 a.m., a community member called 911 to report an active break-in happening along the 500 block of Smith Level Road, which includes several businesses and an apartment community. Upon arrival, police officers encountered three suspects who were taken into custody after a brief investigation.
