A small earthquake was detected near a scenic North Carolina town in the Great Smoky Mountains Friday night, federal seismologists said. No one reported feeling it. The 2.0 magnitude earthquake registered at 8:06 p.m. about 5 miles southeast of the Haywood County town of Clyde , according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
