Tennessee doctor makes $6.9 million in Medicare fraud using optometry practice
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Tennessee doctor has pleaded guilty to committing millions of dollars’ worth of Medicare fraud through her Brentwood optometry practice. Helen Boerman, 48, pleaded guilty this week to helping defraud Medicare out of $6.9 million, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Tennessee.
