OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha has recorded a low number of homicides so far this year, putting the city on pace for one of its safest years in decades. Homicides are down 75% from this point last year. Non-fatal shootings are down 63% this year. The numbers are better than any Omaha has seen over the last 10 years.

Radar may be showing some showers moving through this morning. While that is true, the dry air is preventing much of the rain from reaching the ground. So many will be dry, but a rain drop or two is not out of the question. The afternoon looks sunnier and drier with highs in the upper 70s.
