South Phoenix playground fire under investigation by police
PHOENIX — An investigation has been opened after a south Phoenix playground was damaged by fire, according to officials with the Phoenix Police Department. Phoenix parks personnel called firefighters and police to report that the playground at Nevitt Park, near Baseline Road and 48th Street, had been damaged by a fire. Members of the Phoenix Fire Department Arson Task Force responded to the scene.
