ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - The city of Rockford asks for donations as it looks to build 500 “blessing boxes” or care packages for those experiencing homelessness in the area. Organizers say the donation drive and packing event is a way to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary by “celebrating through service.”
