SACRAMENTO, Calif. — New forensic testing has clarified evidence in a decades-old homicide case, with key support from the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. The case stems from the 1966 killing of Marjorie Rudolph in San Rafael. A suspect, Laurel James Switzer, was identified early on but could not be tied to crime scene evidence using the forensic tools available at the time.
