WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Work is set to resume next week on a one-mile stretch of Woodlawn in Bel Aire, where cones and road closure signs have been in place since 2021. The City of Bel Aire posted an update on its Facebook page. It said work will resume after soil samples from K-DOT finalize preparations for further stabilization of the soil. The city believes the road should reopen by September of next year.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A motorcyclist is expected to recover after a crash Wednesday afternoon in west Wichita, according to the Wichita Police Department. Police said a man in his 70s was traveling on his motorcycle on 135th Street West when another vehicle pulled out onto 135th Street from Ridgepoint. The vehicles collided near 135th Street West and Ridgepoint, between 13th and 21st streets.
