LRS, the City of North Liberty’s trash and recycling contractor, has informed us of delays in collecting trash and recycling on Wednesday, June 10, due to legal limits on drivers’ hours. The impacted areas include trash service south of Penn Street and east of Dubuque Street and recycling service in the city’s northeast quadrant.
Over the past two weeks, the City of North Liberty has received a lot of calls, emails, and messages about delayed or missed trash and recycling collections, and more than 100 comments on a social media post from last week about LRS’s delayed collection.
