Lavender farm treehouses featured in Iowa City Parade of Homes

OXFORD, Iowa (KWQC) – A lavender farm in eastern Iowa is drawing national attention after its treehouses were recognized as one of Airbnb’s most wish-listed destinations in the state.

Calyx Creek Lavender Farm is opening its treehouses to visitors this weekend as part of the Iowa City Parade of Homes. The farm’s Outlook and Summit treehouses were named Airbnb’s most wish-listed stay in Iowa for 2025.

“If you don’t talk, you don’t hear anything but the birds out here. You don’t see anything but lavender and green, and you don’t smell anything other than the beauty of lavender,” said Taylor Getting, owner of Calyx Creek Lavender Farm. “It’s a great opportunity to just get away, whether it be for an afternoon or whether it be for a couple-day retreat.”…
