Georgia man accused of forging check from local Iowa livestock business

OXFORD, Iowa (KCRG) – A Georgia man is facing first-degree theft and forgery charges in Iowa after authorities said he forged a check for more than $14,000.

A criminal complaint shows 24-year-old Keduse‑Kumea Morgan of Lawrenceville, Georgia, mobile deposited a check for $14,404.55 from The Oxford Sale Barn on December 23, 2025, around 12:52 am.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said the Oxford Sale Barn did not write the check and did not know who Morgan was. It said Morgan did not have permission to write the check…
