FAIRFAX, Iowa (KCRG) -Charlie Howard was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome or HLHS.
His mom, Halle Howard, said, “When he was three days old, he had his first open heart surgery, when he was four months old, he had his second one, and when he was two and a half, he had his third open heart surgery.”
Now to get a required heart transplant, Charlie will move to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, while he waits for a potential donor…
