CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Cedar Rapids Community School District has selected Tara Thomas Gettman as its new director of strategic communications, pending formal board approval.
Gettman brings more than two decades of experience in journalism, public relations and strategic communications.
Most recently, she served as director of strategic communications for the City of Waterloo and director of school and community relations for Waterloo Community Schools.
