IOWA CITY, Iowa — Firefighters rescued two cats after a late-night fire damaged a home and two vehicles in Iowa City on Friday.
The Iowa City Fire Department responded at 11:34 p.m. to a reported building fire at 3532 Galway Court after neighbors alerted the homeowners. While crews were en route, they learned the residents had safely evacuated, but two cats remained inside the home.
