MARION, Iowa — The son of former Waterloo Mayor Quentin Hart will avoid prison time in a Linn County theft case tied to a 2025 scam.
According to court filings Tuesday, Quenden Hart, 19, will be on supervised probation for three years, he also has to pay a fine of over $2,000.
Hart had been accused of stealing $10,000 in cash from a Marion man in December 2025 after scamming the victim out of his card and then posing as an investigator to get the money from him. He was arrest in connection with the scam in February…
