Women’s Top 25 roundup: Caitlin Clark, No. 5 Iowa top Nebraska

Caitlin Clark piled up 38 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead No. 5 Iowa over Nebraska 92-73 on Saturday afternoon in Iowa City, Iowa.

Clark, who shot 12-of-22 from the floor and 8-of-15 from 3-point range, also had two steals for the Hawkeyes (19-2, 8-1 Big Ten). Clark extended her streak to five consecutive games of hitting at least six 3-pointers. Iowa also got 16 points from Kate Martin and 12 points from Sydney Affolter.

Jaz Shelley powered the Cornhuskers (13-7, 5-4) with 19 points, while Alexis Markowski chipped in a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Iowa led by just five points at halftime, but pulled away by opening the third quarter with a 15-5 run, during which Clark contributed eight points and two assists. The Hawkeyes went on to lead by as many as 19 points as they shot 52.5 percent from the floor.

No. 4 Kansas State 67, BYU 65

Gisela Sanchez scored 18 points as the Wildcats outlasted the Cougars for their 14th straight win in Manhattan, Kan.

Kansas State (20-1, 9-0 Big 12) also got 14 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals from Serena Sundell, and 10 points from Gabby Gregory.
