CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A contractor who scammed victims of the 2020 derecho has pled guilty to one count of wire fraud. In a plea agreement, 48-year-old Scott Gregory Adkins (who did business as “Adkins Home Improvement LLC”) admitted to defrauding his customers, including victims of the 2020 Iowa derecho.
