The University of Iowa NIL store has dropped a George Kittle Legacy jersey to directly benefit Hawkeye student-athletes as they look to raise NIL money for athletic programs.
Kittle spent four seasons at Iowa and put up impressive numbers. In his final two seasons, he posted an average of 14.3 and 14.5 yards per catch. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has been named a Pro Bowler five times in his career. The 2024 selection was the fifth of his career, including four of the past five seasons.
Iowa has been known to produce high-level tight ends with Sam LaPorta, Noah Fant, T.J. Hockenson, and Kittle dominating the league.
With the added NIL money from selling his jersey, Iowa might be able to find the next Kittle or Hockenson. Despite some backlash at times for the way they run their offense, Iowa has been one of the top 25 teams in America throughout the past few seasons. They’ve finished with 10 wins in three of the past five seasons and have finished ranked in the top 17 in four of those five seasons, too.
