The Eat Shop is continuing to expand its footprint in the Corridor! The popular bakery & cafe has opened another new location, this time in Coralville’s Iowa River Landing.
About The Eat Shop
According to the Facebook page, The Eat Shop is a “boutique bakery & café serving handcrafted baked goods made from scratch.” The shop is known for its delicious cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls, but offers a wide-variety of other sweets, too. The menu includes cookies, kolaches, cake, pie, bars, and other pastries.
The Eat Shop’s very first location opened in Solon in 2021 as a “traditional counter service bakery.” It was followed by its first cafe location at The University of Iowa College of Law in 2023, and then another at the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2024. In 2025, The Eat Shop opened their new flagship location at 1107 7th Ave in Marion. In addition to baked goods, the cafe locations also serve breakfast items, soup, sandwiches, salads, and coffee beverages.
The New Location
The Eat Shop held their official grand opening at their newest location, 104 E 7th St in Coralville, this past Saturday, May 9th. The bakery & cafe opened its doors at 6:30 a.m., and the first 100 customers through the doors were given a free reusable tote. One of those totes had an extra special gift inside: free cinnamon rolls for a YEAR!
Based on the line inside the shop, it appears that the grand opening was a huge success. The Eat Shop wrote on Facebook:
