IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa City Community School District accepted the resignation of special education director Ashley Reedy on Friday as the district faces a budget crisis, including an estimated $19 million special education deficit in the current fiscal year.
The district has noted that its special education budget ballooned in recent years and contributed to the problem it is facing.
