JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — The Johnson County jail and sheriff’s office project continues to remain a hot topic as Johnson County Sheriff Brad Kunkel brought up some of his concerns during Wednesday’s board of supervisors meeting.
The sheriff pushed back on claims the county is planning to build a “$90 million jail,” saying that description is misleading.
“The fact of the matter is, the jail component of it is about 50% of that so to say a $90 million facility and have that focused on the jail is not accurate,” Sheriff Kunkel said…
