Docs: Apache Junction axe attacker told 911 he tried to kill his roommates

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (AZFamily) — The man accused of attacking his two roommates with an axe in Apache Junction admitted to trying to kill them in a 911 call, according to court documents.

The attack happened Thursday, May 28, on Cedar Drive near Lost Dutchman Boulevard and Warner Drive.

One victim called 911 just before 11:30 a.m. and was screaming, “help me,” stating that someone had attacked him and that the suspect was still at the scene, according to court documents.

The suspect, identified as Richard Miles Luna, then got on the phone and told dispatchers he had just tried to kill two people, according to court documents…
