Gilbert Police Chief Michael Soelberg has been appointed interim assistant town manager, the latest in a series of leadership changes as the town continues its search for a new top administrator.
Soelberg, who has led the Gilbert Police Department since 2017, stepped into the temporary role March 30 following the departure of longtime assistant town manager Mary Goodman, who was hired as Flagstaff’s deputy city manager.
