Repossession agent arrested after allegedly pulling handgun during vehicle seizure

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A tow truck driver from Gaston was arrested in North Charleston on Wednesday after he allegedly pulled and gun on someone during a vehicle repossession, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

27-year-old Lydarius Eunique Wise was arrested and charged with assault and battery in the second degree and pointing and presenting a firearm.

The report on the incident states that officers responded to the 5600 block of Dorchester Road and upon arriving on scene, learned that the incident involved Wise who was a repossession agent.

According to police, witness statements and video evidence, Wise struck the victim’s vehicle prior to the repossession attempt in a incident similar to a PIT maneuver. A PIT maneuver is described as a tactic typically used by law enforcement where one vehicle applies lateral force to the rear quarter panel of another vehicle, intentionally forcing the second vehicle, in this case the victims vehicle, into a sudden 180-degree spin…
