Federal judge approves $650K settlement in Ravenel-area boating incident death

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The family of a Florence man killed in a 2025 boating incident near Ravenel will receive $650,000 after a federal judge approved a wrongful death settlement.

Tallon Goff, 22, was riding on a 15-foot boat under the Highway 17 bridges just before Independence Day 2025 when he was killed.
