SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — The boom of cannons and crack of rifles rang out at Fort Moultrie as the Lowcountry kicked off the 250th Carolina Day celebration, a statewide holiday that drew reenactors, visitors and locals for more than a dozen events.
The commemoration brought Fort Moultrie to life with Revolutionary War reenactors offering a hands-on look at what life was like during the fight for independence.
