Heat advisory issued for much of the Lowcountry Sunday

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of the Lowcountry for Sunday afternoon with near record high temperatures forecast for the area.

The National Weather Service advised that from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, heat index values will peak in the 100-105 degree range throughout the Lowcountry, while those values will rise to the 105-110 degree range in coastal Charleston, Colleton, and Beaufort Counties, as well as Berkeley County.
