Goose Creek man charged with DUI following hit and run

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Goose Creek man was arrested Saturday after allegedly driving under the influence, causing a crash and attempting to leave the scene, according to North Charleston Police.

Officers responded around 3:40 p.m. to a vehicle collision at the Walmart on Rivers Ave. Police said an officer witnessed 31-year-old Erimateo Ramirez Mendez rear-end a pickup truck before allegedly attempting to drive away.
