ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Another man has been charged in connection with shootings during South Carolina State University’s 2025 homecoming weekend.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says Javarrious Jamison, 20, of Vance, was charged with possession of a firearm on school property.
According to an arrest warrant, Jamison was detained Oct. 4, 2025, in front of Hugine Suites on the S.C. State campus after a shooting in the parking lot. Agents say he was found next to an abandoned gun in the lot at 300 College Ave.
A school bus carrying over 40 students crashed into a home in Orangeburg County early Tuesday.
SLED crime scene agents collected the firearm and sent it to the state forensic laboratory for testing. The warrant says testing later showed Jamison’s DNA on the outside of the gun and on an unfired cartridge in the chamber…
