North Charleston Police arrest man accused of threatening Wells Fargo employees

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a man after he allegedly threatened employees inside a bank and damaged an employee’s vehicle Wednesday morning.

Christopher Lee Williams, 44, is charged with malicious injury to property and aggravated breach of peace.

Officers responded to the Wells Fargo in the 4400 block of Dorchester Road just before 9:30 a.m. following a disturbance report. A bank manager told officers that Williams, who was known to the staff, had been sitting in the lobby drinking water for an extended period. When employees asked him to leave, he allegedly became angry and belligerent.

As the manager escorted him toward the door, Williams allegedly turned around and said, “I am going to shoot y’all. I’m going to blow this place up.” He reportedly made a hand gesture resembling a handgun…
