Lou Lou’s Tavern on the Tracks Brings a New Kind of Night Out to Charleston’s Upper Peninsula

There’s a new reason to head up Meeting Street when the sun starts to go down.

Lou Lou’s Tavern on the Tracks has opened at The Refinery, bringing a combination of shareable food, cocktails, live music and a little late-night swagger to Charleston’s Upper Peninsula. The new restaurant is the latest concept from Dave and Chrissy Lorenz, the local hospitality team behind Mex 1 Coastal Cantina and Islander 71.

Located at 1640 Meeting Street next to The Refinery’s open-air music venue, Lou Lou’s was designed with the concert crowd in mind — but you don’t have to have a ticket to a show to understand the appeal. The idea is dinner, drinks and music without having to make the evening feel overly planned…
