NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A judge handed a 25-year-old man a maximum sentence of 30 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections for the attempted murder of a veteran.
Jalen Brothers was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
On the night of April 15, 2023, Brothers approached his victim, a veteran of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, while he was sitting in his vehicle and attempted to rob him at gunpoint.
