Park Circle’s The Junction Kitchen Asks Community for Support After 11 Years

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — After 11 years of serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and locally roasted coffee to the Park Circle community, The Junction Kitchen & Provisions is asking its neighbors for help.

In an emotional message shared with customers, owner Kimana said the longtime neighborhood restaurant is facing a difficult period and is asking the community to step through its doors and help the business move from “hoping to survive” toward a more sustainable future.

The Junction opened in 2014, when Park Circle was still developing on the Spruill Avenue side of the neighborhood. Kimana said she took a significant personal financial risk to open the restaurant, without outside investors, relying instead on her own resources and the help of friends, family and neighbors…
