North Charleston Harvest Festival set to return this October

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The City of North Charleston is gearing up for the 11th Annual Harvest Festival, a seasonal celebration packed with free, family-friendly fun.

The festival will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Olde Village on East Montague Avenue near Park Circle. Admission and parking are free for all attendees. To accommodate the event, East Montague Avenue will close to vehicular traffic from Jenkins Avenue to Virginia Avenue starting at 2:00 p.m.

The festival promises a variety of activities and entertainment, including live music from reggae-bluegrass fusion band NattyGrass. Kids will be entertained with games, crafts, inflatables, and roaming performers. An artist market, featuring local creators and crafters, will line the street, offering unique items and festive treats. Many nearby restaurants will join in with food and drink specials throughout the event.

Highlights include trick-or-treating on the street from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with free treat bags for kids ages 12 and under, available while supplies last. Additional attractions include a pop-up petting zoo courtesy of Crosswind Farms, a mechanical bull, photo booths, and costume contests for youth, groups, and pets.
