Native Americans from across the state come together for 48th annual ENKTSC Pow Wow

RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — Native American Chiefs and Vice-Chiefs from across the state came together to join in the opening ceremonies for the 48th Annual Pow Wow of the Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe of South Carolina (ENKTSC) this weekend.

Chief John Glenn Creel and Vice-Chief Donnie Creel welcomed local lawmakers, veterans, police, EMS workers, and Dorchester County public school students to celebrate local tribal history and culture. Over 300 Dorchester County students attended a special field day Friday to learn firsthand about the local tribe and Native American culture. SC House Rep. Robbie Robbins and Colleton County Council Chairman Scott Biering, two elected officials who represent the ENKTSC, joined the final Grand Entry parade Saturday evening.
