‘Every day I live in fear:’ Shooting survivor speaks ahead of repeat offender’s court date

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Amber Steele wears a tattoo reading “Never a victim, always a fighter” over where a bullet went through her back in 2017 at the McDonald’s off Ashley Phosphate Road.

Steele, 26, was a youth at the time and after seeing her shooter, 30-year-old Willie Nathaniel Robinson, on television for another crime, she says she knew it was time to speak up and share her story.

“We were right here and we were about to order food and I remember it distinctly because I just wanted chicken nuggets,” Steele says. “And I remember a loud bang going off and everything sounded different.”…
