MOUNT PLEASANT , S.C. (WCIV) — Firefighters with the McClellanville-Awendaw Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Shelmore Lane just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
When crews arrived, heavy flames were visible coming from a deck and quickly spread to the second story of the home, fire officials said. Everyone inside the house escaped safely, and no injuries were reported.
