Rodney Scott’s BBQ to officially close

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A popular Charleston barbecue restaurant is officially closing its doors on Sunday.

Rodney Scott’s BBQ General Manager Sam Ayala says the restaurant, located at 1011 King St., will close at 5 p.m. until further notice.

The closure comes as Pihakis Restaurant Group, which operates some Rodney Scott’s locations, faces a lawsuit from supplier Evans Meats, Inc., alleging breach of contract and claiming the group owes $394,238.74, along with more than $12 million in liens tied to the restaurant group’s properties filed by landlord/developer Michael Mouron, who alleges unpaid rent at multiple locations., according to public records…
