Moncks Corner Woman Arrested After Drugs Found During Motel Patrol, Police Say

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A Moncks Corner woman is facing multiple drug charges after North Charleston police say they found suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine inside her vehicle during a patrol at a motel known for narcotics complaints.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, an officer was patrolling the Rodeway Inn on Ashley Phosphate Road around 1:05 p.m. on Saturday when he spotted a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a parked vehicle behind the property. The woman was identified as 48‑year‑old Tara Vaughn.
