CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Millions of Americans are expected to hit the road this Memorial Day weekend, and here in the Lowcountry, law enforcement agencies are preparing for a busy and potentially dangerous stretch on the roads.
According to AAA, nearly 40 million people are expected to travel by car over the holiday weekend, increasing the risk of crashes.
