CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston is celebrating the 48th annual Piccolo Spoleto festival, with music, dancing and visual art on display in Marion Square.
The event runs from May 22 to June 7 and features 250 events this year. The festival brings in locals and people from across the nation to explore the talent on display.
Nicole Seitz, a fine artist showing her work, said this is her first year participating in the juried show.
“This is my first year here. I’m very honored to be here. It’s a juried show, so not everyone gets to be a part of it, so the work that you’re going to see is really special and I’ve been blown away,” Seitz said. “So this is day two I’m still standing, day one was amazing and really encouraging and I sold a lot of work and people come here looking for great art and that’s one of the things that makes Charleston so special.”…
