CEO of bus operator in deadly Virginia crash has ties to Charlotte area

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The CEO of a bus company connected with a deadly crash in Virginia has ties to both Charlotte and Kings Mountain, according to state business filings.

According to Virginia State Police, a bus operated by E&P Travel was heading from New York City to Charlotte, North Carolina last Friday. The bus failed to slow for traffic and struck a vehicle that was then forced into other cars, killing five people in total.

North Carolina state business records show E&P Travel Inc. has a principal address at an apartment complex in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. WBTV went to the apartment on Tuesday but couldn’t find any buses. No one answered the door or the phone number associated with the business…
