Illegal entries into I-77 express lanes becoming more common, drivers say

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A motorcyclist was killed during the evening commute Wednesday after crossing into the I-77 Express Lanes from an unauthorized area, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened near Gilead Road along I-77 South when 36-year-old Tywan Jordan entered the toll lanes illegally and was struck by a car already traveling in the express lane.
