CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man had been found guilty of brutally assaulting a woman three years ago, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg District Attorney’s Office reports.
Jamil Jaaber, 48, was found guilty of assault on a female, felony stalking and three counts of intimidating a witness. In addition, his second-degree kidnapping charge was reduced, and he was instead convicted of false imprisonment.
He was found not guilty of assault by strangulation and interfering with emergency communication. Jaaber also admitted to habitual felon status.
