Strobing lights on Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte pose health concerns

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — It’s not a scene from Stranger Things; these flashing lights are what drivers see on Billy Graham Parkway. The lights start flashing at South Tryon Street and go for about two tenths of a mile.

It’s not clear when the strobing started, but this is another bump in the road for many who use this stretch to get to Charlotte Douglas International Airport or I-85.

It’s also not the first time there have been problems with the lights since they were installed in 2020. In 2022, some of the lights didn’t work at all, leaving stretches of dark roadway. Queen City News asked questions to see if leaders are aware of the current issue.
