Guy Fieri becomes co-owner of North Carolina NASCAR team

STATESVILLE, N.C. (WJZY) – A North Carolina racing team is rolling out a new member of its ownership group.

Legacy Motor Club announced Friday that Guy Fieri, the Emmy Award-winning television host, restaurateur and entrepreneur, has joined the NASCAR team as a “strategic owner.” With his signature spiky bleach-blond hair, Fieri is best known as the host of Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and “Guy’s Grocery Games.”

“Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love — the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,” Fieri said in the press release. “Legacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it.
