CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Just like humans, animals can suffer the effects of extreme temperatures. Pet emergency care leaders say that heat-related complications could happen before it’s too late.
“Prevention is key,” said Charlotte Animal Referral and Emergency Veterinarian Cassandra Stilwell, who is encouraging dog owners to keep their pets inside and cool as often as possible while temperatures rise.
