Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools parents can now use a new app to monitor their children’s school buses in real time, the school district said.
On top of tracking their child’s bus, the app tells the parent when the bus has a substitute driver or when the bus is approaching a stop. There are now real-time updates on route changes, delays and other situations trough AlphaPortal.
“Many of our families who signed up late or mid-year will be familiar with Alpha Route – an older version of AlphaPortal,” explains Tim Ivey, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools chief operations officer. “We truly hope families take advantage of this tool that CMS provides to our families.”…
