CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Temperatures reached 98-degrees in Charlotte this afternoon but felt more like the 100s.

Plan on feels like temperatures in the 90s for most of the evening with an isolated storm or two possible.

A code orange air quality alert is in place for Mecklenburg County, Gaston County, York County, Chester County and Lancaster County until 8 p.m.

This weekend will feature highs in the low to mid 90s, scattered storm chances, and humid conditions.
