According to Jensen’s post on X, Rankin pleaded guilty to felony charges of conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud in 2008. Jensen notes that Rankin received probation and home confinement and was required to disclose his felony conviction when filing for office.
Jensen also discusses an alleged proposal involving former CMS board chair Stephanie Sneed, former consultant Raki McGregor and others. Jensen notes that the proposal involved a $400,000 consulting arrangement to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
